Social media influencer Marzia Kjellberg to auction dog artwork for charity East Sussex

The Italian designer offers illustrations of her pugs, Maya and Edgar, to raise funds for the Raystede Center for Animal Welfare in Ringmer.

Marzia said: “I spent 8 years in Brighton, UK and tried to support animal charities through my business. When I came across Raystede, I knew I wanted to help, and I still remember once I made my first donation, I was then sent a letter explaining how the contribution went to help a small puppy litter.

“Loved seeing how committed the people at Raystede are and how welcoming they have been from day one.

“I was lucky enough to get a guided tour of their center and was blown away by the level of care and attention provided, as well as the wide variety of animals cared for. So I am very happy to be involved in this auction.”

The A4 size illustrations are the only ones that exist and are signed by Marzia and will be sold in wooden frames measuring approximately 24cms x 33cms.

Marzia added: “When I provided the two illustrations, I was asked to create a portrait of my own dogs, Maya and Edgar.

“We had Maya when she was 6, and she had already lost an eye. People online always said she looked like she was winking in every photo, and since then she’s had the sweetest and sweetest personality.

Marzia Kjellberg said, “Edgar is the most lovable and playful dog, bringing so much joy to our day with his mischief.”

“This design depicts Maya cheering whoever looks at her. She’s our little soldier.

“Edgar has always been the opposite of Maya, needing a diaper to keep him from doing his stuff indoors, climbing on tables and barking at every moving thing.

“But he’s the most adorable and playful dog, bringing so much joy to our day with his mischief.”
