Simone Inzaghi “has high hopes” to revive Stefano Sensi’s inter career, Italian media report
Simone Inzaghi wants to keep Stefano Sensi and relaunch his career at Inter, according to a report published in Italian media today.
Gazzetta dello Sport said Sensi was confident he would be lucky enough to have a third season with the Nerazzurri, despite lingering injury issues.
Inzaghi “has every intention” to revive the 25-year-old’s fortune at San Siro, as Sensi would be a great option in his 3-5-2 system.
Inter will listen to Sensi’s offers this summer, but Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio would not accept anything below € 20million.
Sensi was linked last month with interest from Shakhtar Donetsk and Fiorentina, noted the Milan-based publication, both of whom would guarantee him regular playing time.
However, both clubs are said to be a step back from Inter, who know they have a valuable player in their hands if they manage to get back into shape consistently.
Sensi would need luck and Inzaghi’s help to turn things around with the Nerazzurri, according to the report, but the potential is there to resurrect the excellent player Inter had at the start of the 2019-20 season.
Inter paid € 25m to sign Sassuolo’s Sensi in 2019, between a € 5m loan and a € 20m loan next summer, which is why they won’t listen offers of less than 20 million euros.
