Romelu Lukaku will not refuse Chelsea Inter discovered only 72 hours ago, according to Italian media
Romelu Lukaku would not refuse Inter’s move to Chelsea if the two clubs agree on a deal for his sale.
This according to the Italian media Gazzetta.it, who report that the Belgian has opened up to the possibility of leaving the Nerazzurri, which the club have become aware of in the past 72 hours.
Chelsea move all-in for Lukaku, with the 28-year-old being the main focus of his search for a top-class striker after appearing to be on the verge of missing Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
The Blues are ready not only to spend a significant sum on the Belgian, but also to offer him a huge salary estimated at around 15 million euros net per season (depending on the importance of the costs involved), much more than the 8.5 €. million he earns at Inter.
The Nerazzurri have already turned down an offer of over € 100million plus Marcos Alonso, although the Blues are on the verge of increasing their offer significantly, possibly in a purely cash offer.
The Nerazzurri’s position is that they won’t sell the player if he doesn’t want to leave, but Chelsea’s offer could persuade him, and if he’s ready to move and the Nerazzurri find him too important to decline, he could be on his way to Stamford Bridge before the window ends.
