Mezzacorona adds a new grape variety to its portfolio: Domenica Pinot Grigio

The purest and clearest soul of Pinot Grigio from Trentino, Italy

NEW YORK (September 12, 2022) – Italy’s leading wine producer, Mezzacorona, today announced the latest addition to its portfolio, Domenica Pinot Grigio. Trentino, Italy, was the perfect terroir for this grape variety. A unique wine, Domenica Pinot Grigio is the result of grapes grown in vineyards in this pristine region and cultivated with the craftsmanship and sustainable viticulture that Mezzacorona wines are known for. With each sip, Domenica Pinot Grigio embodies the freshness of this region.

Trentino is home to ideal land and climate for the growth of Dominica. The dolomitic rocks enhance the sunlight that reflects off the vines, allowing the grapes to thrive in the ground. Made in nature, this wine encapsulates the essence of the mountain as the vineyards are located in valleys near soaring cliffs. Each bottle contains the splendid nature in which it was grown.

“This wine brings the feeling of purity and cleanliness of the pristine valleys of Trentino”, says Maurizio Maurizi, winemaker of Mezzacorona, “The unique climate, sustainable agriculture, the Dolomites and the exposure of our valleys lead to the balance perfect aromas, acidity and freshness.

Domenica Pinot Grigio’s impressive craftsmanship is the result of every bottle going through Mezzacorona quality control standards and the fact that this wine is 100% hand-harvested. The system requires that the grapes be evaluated according to strict criteria. In addition, the Domenica is harvested between 10 and 12 days later than in other regions, which allows for better development of flavors and aromas.

“With 115 years of tradition and expertise in crafting our wines, along with our sustainable efforts and practices, Domenica was born,” says Barbara Darra, Mezzacorona Global Marketing Director. “Domenica truly represents the pinnacle of Pinot Grigio and we are proud of its SQNPI certification, guaranteeing its lasting quality.”

Domenica Pinot Grigio is straw yellow in color with hints of sweet chamomile and lilac on the nose then fades into scents of white stone fruits. The first sip of Domenica is ample, rich and sweet and its finish has a vibrant acidity that enhances the aroma. It is the perfect appetizer, best served with cheese and meat and is a superb companion to seafood, pasta and mushroom dishes.

All Mezzacorona wines are sustainably grown, hand-harvested and bottled at the estate. Domenica Pinot Grigio is imported by Prestige Wine Imports and is available nationwide with a suggested retail price of $15. For more information, please visit and
