KershKicks sneaker store launched in central Glasgow in Italy

SCOTLAND’s first sneaker store has opened in Glasgow.

KershKicks created 10 jobs by taking over a unit in the Italian city center on Ingram Street. The store officially opened on Saturday.

Started by brothers Ben and Sam Kersh, the retailer claims to be Scotland’s first specialty sneaker store, offering shoppers the chance to get their hands on a wide range of luxury sneakers, including rare and exclusive limited editions, streetwear collections and unused inventory.

The retailer already has a store in Manchester which opened in 2019.

KershKicks co-founder Ben said: “We have visited Glasgow several times over the years and it really is a fantastic city with a great atmosphere. Over the years we’ve seen an increase in online orders from people living in Scotland, especially Glasgow, and last year we asked our Instagram followers where they think we should be launching the next one. Glasgow has turned out to be a popular suggestion so it’s great to be able to honor their requests.

“Our store in Manchester has only been open for two years, but it has already proven to be a must-have for sneaker fans, including a selection of soccer stars, musicians and celebrities, so we are thrilled to ‘bring the same energy to Glasgow… too. ”
