Italian furniture designer Rimadesio opens 6K SF NoMad showroom – Commercial Observer
Italian furniture designer Rimadesio plans to open a 6,204 square foot showroom at NoMad, Commercial Observer has learned.
The furniture company signed a long-term lease for a two-level space at 102 Madison Ave between West 29th and West 30th streets, according to the broker-owners Necklaces International. A spokesperson for Colliers declined to provide the terms of the deal.
Rimadesio’s 102 Madison space will serve as a showroom, house its operations staff and be the brand’s flagship location in the city, according to Colliers. It is not known when Rimadesio plans to open the space.
The company first opened a showroom in Manhattan inside DOM interiors – which hosts several showrooms of different furniture brands – at 66 Crosby Street in 2016.
Necklaces Tom lemon, Robin dinkin and David Green represented the owner, A. Ruth & Sons Real Estate, in the case. Neil Seth, Kenji Ota, Kevin at and Diego Rodino di Miglione of Cushman and Wakefield took care of it for the tenant. A spokesperson for C&W declined to comment.
âAs the pandemic has forced us to spend more time at home than ever before, people have invested in modernizing their home offices and personal spaces, which has been great for high-end furniture makers. Dinkin said in a statement. âNoMad has become a hub for these types of tenants in Manhattan and we are happy to have been able to secure a long term commitment for A. Ruth & Sons.â
Rimadesio will join furniture retailer Christian Liaigre in the 12-story 102 Madison.
