Inter will target two forwards and a winger after Lukaku’s sale to Chelsea, Italian media suggest
With Romelu Lukaku set to close a € 115million move to Chelsea, Inter will use the funds to sign two new forwards and a wide player.
As reported in today’s edition of Tuttosport, no more than 50 million euros of the costs brought by Lukaku’s departure will be made available to strengthen the team and coach Simone Inzaghi is in full agreement with directors Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio on how to spend it. .
The plan is to use the funds to secure two forwards to complement Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez, easing the burden on the pair and giving Inzaghi a greater range of attacking options.
Once two names have been secured, the next priority is to find a replacement for right-winger Achraf Hakimi, and although Inter have been linked to both Nahitan Nandez from Cagliari and Denzel Dumfries from PSV Eindhoven, it is believed that they will only move for one.
Dutch international Dumfries is currently the most likely option and is a rear wing specialist unlike Nandez, but any move depends on the will and demands of PSV and Cagliari respectively.
On the other side, Inzaghi is happy with Ivan Perisic and Federico Dimarco so there won’t be any new additions.
