Inter Linked Torino captain Andrea Belotti available for € 30m, Italian media say
Inter are considering offering Turin striker Andrea Belotti to replace Romelu Lukaku if the Belgian is sold.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin newspaper Tuttosport, which reports the 27-year-old would cost no more than € 30m and could be seen as a low-cost option for the center-forward. by the Nerazzurri.
Despite the probably huge sum that would be received by Chelsea’s Nerazzurri if Lukaku were sold, only a portion would be reinvested in a replacement.
Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata is currently seen as the priority option but even at € 40million his signing could be seen as too costly by the club.
To this end, the search for value in the market could lead to Belotti, whose contract with the Granata expires next summer and who has yet to agree on a new agreement.
The player refused to move to Zenit Saint Petersburg as he wanted to stay in Italy for family reasons, but Turin is believed to have been happy to accept the Russian giants’ offer of € 30million.
Moreover, the Nerazzurri would have no problem matching the € 3.3million net per season currently on the table in Granata’s negotiations on a new deal.
As a result, if the Nerazzurri turned their attention to Belotti as a replacement for Lukaku, he would likely cost the club € 25-30million, a figure that could certainly be affordable.
