“I wouldn’t rule out a possible sale of Inter”
Former Inter CEO Ernesto Paolillo has said he wouldn’t rule out Suning selling the club in the near future, according to a report in Italian media.
Speaking during an interview with FCInter1908the former manager asked about the current ownership situation at Inter and he admitted that the club’s current financial projections are not good and he would not rule out a sale in the future.
“I credit the Suning group for bringing Inter back to a place where they can win the title, but I’m a financial man and I have to read the financial statements. I see a very large debt. I don’t know if the group Suning has the financial strength to be able to continue managing Inter, and I wouldn’t rule out a possible sale on the horizon.
As to whether or not former owner Massimo Moratti could return, it has been made very clear that this will not happen: “I categorically rule it out! Everything has its time, throughout history.
Inter face AS Roma on Saturday night and Ernesto Paolillo thinks it will be a tough game for Inter against a tough opponent.
“It will be a very complicated match against a tough opponent. Everyone says that Inter have the easiest programme: I totally disagree. Mourinho will do everything to beat Inter. He wants the best for his Roma.
On the Scudetto run, he said he couldn’t decide who is the favorite to win it yet, but of course he hopes Inter become champions again.
“In my opinion, Inter, Milan and Napoli have the same chances. As a nerazzurro, it is obvious that you support Inter. But, as of today, I cannot say – with certainty – whether Inzaghi’s team will win the title.
