Nuno’s transcription

The Spurs head coach faced the media after the 3-0 loss to Chelsea and the main topic of discussion in his press conference was what went wrong in the second half.

“A lot of things. A lot of things. From the way we conceded, it’s disappointing the way to concede, through a set piece,” admitted Nuno Espirito Santo. “Then after that it got really hard, really hard to get back into the game.

“Chelsea are a good team and in possession they created problems for us.

“Like you said, very good first half, very good. We competed very well, we played good football, we pushed high, so we realize that we have a lot to improve, but the consciousness of the first half has to stay with us so that we can take advantage of it. “

Nuno exposed again

The Spurs boss named a rather offensive XI against Chelsea and brought the game to Thomas Tuchel’s men, causing plenty of trouble at times in north London as they fought well in midfield and looked to move from there ‘before.

However, with the Blues bringing in N’Golo Kante at the break, Tottenham’s dominance ended as a result.

The substitution turned the game in favor of the Blues who scored a quick brace 12 minutes after the restart, before Antonio Rudiger added a third just before the final whistle.

Nuno Espirito Santo was happy with his Tottenham side’s performance against Chelsea in the first half

It has now been two consecutive weeks since Spurs surrendered in the second half, although the heavy loss at Palace was not helped at all by the expulsion of Japhet Tanganga.

This is something that needs to change at Tottenham and quickly.

Kessie speaks

Tottenham were interested in signing Franck Kessie from AC Milan during the summer transfer window.

This was according to midfielder agent Massimo Brambati, who said in an interview with Italian media Tuttomercatoweb Radio that the Ivorian had several suitors.

But Kessie ended up staying in Italy and with less than a year on his contract, there’s a chance he could leave on a free transfer next summer.

But Milan manager Paolo Maldini has confirmed that talks with the 24-year-old about extending his stay have already taken place and that he expects another meeting with the midfielder’s agent.

“We’ve been talking to Kessie’s agent for a year and a half,” he told DAZN, according to Fabrizio Romano.

“We have had many meetings and we will have other opportunities to talk to him about Franck.”
